Two Local Kids Help Norrisville VFC to Make Big Impact on Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

Harford County, Md. – The Harford County community has come together in an incredible show of support to help families affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene.
This effort wouldn’t be possible without the two amazing young Harford County residents who started it all, brothers Jack (10) and Nick Watkins (8). The boys stepped up to help those impacted by the storm, working alongside members of the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company and generous donations from the local community. Their multi-day community collection efforts helped to fill a 53 foot trailer with non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, diapers, wipes and so much more! The truck is currently headed for North Carolina to bring much-needed supplies to local residents.
What’s the local connection to North Carolina?
Jack and Nick’s father, Brandon is a BCoFD fire captain and past chief of Norisville Fire Company and is currently deployed with the federal USAR team PA-TF1, working tirelessly on rescue and recovery efforts in North Carolina. While he’s out there making a difference, Jack and Nick are doing their part at back home with the help of Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company, White Marsh Transport and GFORCE-MACHONE to support the families impacted by the hurricane.
