About the Department

The mission of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. shall be the prevention and suppression of fire and the protection of life and property during such fires and emergencies as may occur in the Town of Bel Air and the surrounding communities. To accomplish our mission, it will be our duty to demand personal commitment, good morale character, pride, honesty and teamwork from each and every member of the organization regardless of rank or position. We shall never allow race, color, creed, sex, age, lifestyle, national origin, or economic status to cloud our judgment or affect our decisions. Everyone will be treated fairly with compassion and respect.

We shall always demand excellence of service to the citizens and community we serve.

Bel Air VFC is the Center of the Community for special events. We are used by the Sheriff’s Office and Bel Air PD for a command post when needed. Bel Air VFC was founded in 1890.
