Meet the Community Risk Reduction Chair

Hello! My name is Abbey Huneke, and I serve as the Chair of Community Risk Reduction for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Fire prevention and life safety education have been a passion of mine for many years. I currently serve as an EMT with Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and previously held the title of Miss Fire Prevention for Harford County in 2022.

I am honored to help lead our community outreach and education efforts and look forward to working with residents throughout Harford County to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Fire Safety Trailer

Learn What to Do Before an Emergency Happens

  • Smoke alarm awareness
  • Home fire escape planning
  • Emergency evacuation procedures
  • Fire prevention best practices

The program is designed for all ages and provides realistic, engaging training that helps prepare families and communities for emergencies.
